That strikes me as alarmingly antidemocratic. If the president communicates to the public primarily through twitter, and we can’t take him at his words and attribute the actual things he suggests to him, then how is he accountable at all?

“The president suggested something insanely evil!”

“Oh, you can’t listen to that, it’s just his emotion and BS-ing platform.”

What’s left? Just trust him?
